Sometimes when planning on taking a solo vacation, staying within the U.S. is your best option. It’s an even better choice if you are new with traveling.  Since you’ll still be in your home country, you won’t have problems with things like culture shock and learning any new languages.  All that you’ll need, you already have!
 
You can visit anywhere; from a small local town to a far away big city. Not to mention that traveling around cities is extremely easy in the U.S. Many towns have sidewalks that allow you to walk instead of have to rent a car.  If you prefer not to walk, most cities have great public transportation systems that include busses, subways and trains.  Finding a place to stay shouldn’t be problem either considering that all towns tend to have at least one hotel.
 
There are so many great cities out there to visit in the U.S.  Maybe you should consider traveling somewhere like New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C, Seattle, Chicago or San Antonio. These locations aren’t the cheapest of places to travel, but all of them are incredible and will leave you with memories you won’t ever forget.
 
Keep in mind that the quality you experience does depend on whatever your budget is when it comes to a place to stay.  Guidebooks are great tools for finding great, low-priced places to stay and can help when traveling by foot.  Try to take the time and visit a local visitor’s center for an accurate guidebook.  Visitor’s centers can be important in other ways, too.  You can obtain a city map, city guide and find out about local transportation.  If you still have problems finding a place to stay, try one of the many websites on the internet where you can automatically book a hotel or motel room.
 
Chicago can be a great place to test yourself if you are new to traveling solo or just new to traveling altogether!  Decent hotels are available for $75 per night, which is very good for a major city.  It is a very easy city to travel by foot and cabs are readily available when you need one.  If you have problems finding your way around, there will probably be someone around who knows the city well enough to help you find your way.
 
Overall, cities in the U.S. can be fun places to go when you travel. Be sure to pick a city that you think you will enjoy. If you plan your trip well, it can be an easy, fun and exciting experience.
