A dream vacation to the Caribbean may not be something everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy, but planning ahead can have some people heading to some incredible locations that they won’t soon forget!  It is especially possible for anyone planning on travelling solo to be able to afford something memorable.
 
Traveling solo has great benefits if you can find the time to do enjoy one.  You can wander and eat where you want and sleep when you feel like it.  You can even take off to another city on a moment’s notice!  Being able to make all the choices for yourself also puts you in the unique position of being able to make decisions that could save you a lot of money.
 
Travelling alone on a budget can take more planning than if you traveled in a group or with someone else.  There will be no one else to fall back on if something unexpected happens and that can sometimes happen.  You will have to take the time to search for information online, maybe contact people who have firsthand experience from visiting your destination and organizing your trip through a travel agent or online discount travel website.  The time you spend researching and finding what works best within your budget is well worth it if you get to go on a great vacation without spending a lot!
 
If you can get away with a single travelling bag, you can save even more money.  Bring your essentials and maybe plan on visiting a Laundromat on vacation to cut down on the clothing you bring.  Keep a guidebook and translation dictionary if necessary on you at all times.  The lighter you travel, the less you have to carry around or pay someone to help you with it.
 
To save even more money, consider staying in a hostel and shop for your food instead of eating out.  Any money you save can be used for any unforeseen fees or to splurge when you want to pay for entrance to any historical or significant landmarks.
